Penerapan Media Kartu Huruf Bergambar untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan pada Siswa Kelas 1 MI NW Temempang

This research was conducted based on the results of pra siklus observations that showed low reading ability of kelas 1 students of MI NW Temempang, where out of 19 students, only 47% showed good initial reading ability. With the aim of improving students' initial reading ability, the research was conducted by implementing picture letter card media for kelas 1 at MI NW Temempang. This research was conducted in two siklus with stages per siklus starting from the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results of the study have shown an increase since siklus 1, with an increase in classical completeness reaching 60%. To achieve the established criteria, namely in the good category range, the study was continued with siklus 2. The results of siklus 2 concluded that the implementation of picture letter card media can improve students' initial reading ability to reach 70% in the good category as the established research success criteria.
